**We are re-designing our trailtrainer due to a slight issue we have with un-trained dogs, we want to iron as many out as we can before production starts.**

Introducing the New and exciting ‘Trail-Trainer’

Welcome to ‘outdoordog.co.uk’s latest and most exciting next product.  Made by our sister company, ‘Summit Metals’ our friend in b-spoke metal work.  We now have the perfect resolution to exercising and training your dog.  Tailored towards working sled dogs and fans of cycling off road with any breed/shape/size pet dog, the trail trainer promotes running in a straight line at the front of  your cycle, being the first ‘front of bike attachment’.

We have been designing the trail trainer over the last 6 months, and have hoped to achieve a safe and easy way of filling the demand for easier training, which simulates a natural front position.  We believe it will be an excellent stage of training, especially for competition and the only one on the UK market.

What’s the difference between the trail-trainer and the side of bike attachment?

Firstly: preference. Some like to run their dogs on the side of the bike like our oldest malamute.  Our deluxe edition for the side of your bike is fantastic for building stamina and strength, or just for a leisurely jog, which is a great way of putting in your commands for right and left turns with more control if you were thinking of training for any competition.

The trail-trainer is adaptable and can have more than one dog attached unlike the side of bike attachments and also allows even muscle building and tone.
We love the fact that you can now train comfortably without having to keep loading and carrying the large rigs, you have the simplicity of training on a cycle…..

We have many friends and family with different breeds of dog, KC registered or not, who love to be out and about with their furry family member, regardless of their purpose whether its serious competional needs or just a need for an attachment that simply fastens firmly and safely to the front of the cycle, we think you can enjoy this gadget.

Please note: We do not intend this training information to be a rule of thumb, and 'the' way to train sled dogs to be successful in the competition field.  We are simply stating what has worked for us to get our dogs fit and active and enjoy the physical and mental challenge. The photo above was taken showing one of the dogs with no front position training, and shows how some will take to it naturally, some may not.  Like with any new product to be used with a dog, we suggest using them with gradual exposure, extra people available to help out, tit-bits, praise and time.  As with all training use whats best for you and your dog, taking care and attention to all involved.  Some clubs offer excellent advice on what could work better for you such as the Siberian Husky Clubs in the UK and Scotland should you need any help and advice in any specialist fields, i.e competition training.  This is simply a device created to secure you dog/dogs to the front of a cycle and an alternative to the side of bike attachment.  It is no more hazardous than the off road dog scooters, and all gadgets can interfere with the direction of your cycle which is why we recommend training to maximise your pleasure on your cycling outings together.
